“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.” – Brené Brown
Happy New Year! I cannot believe it is 2020! I feel like I’m still partying like it’s 1999! Ok, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration since I barely make it to midnight nowadays. Wish that insomnia kicked in on NYE instead of on the nights before I have to wake up at 6AM so I can properly get my day started.
Yay! It’s my first post E V E R! I feel like I should be celebrating with some wine or something. For now, I’ll just stick to my coffee. C O F F E E. It helps keep me sane. It keeps the headaches away. It makes me happy. Picture that one OLAF scene in the first Frozen movie where he is dreaming and singing about Summer. That’s me, except with coffee. Don’t judge me.
I turn 40, F O R T Y, in March, and I knew I needed to do something to break up the monotony of my daily life. So here I am, starting a blog. Crazy as this seems, I’m pretty f*cking proud of myself for doing it. I’ve spent so much time second guessing myself and making up excuses of how this will never work. I think my husband got sick of me talking about it and invested money on this crazy idea. Oh, trust me, I was ready to give up because I couldn’t figure out how to format the menus (I still don’t). However, I am always lecturing my kids about not wasting money, and it was too late to get a refund for the premium service I purchased. So, alas, here I am. And if you’ve read this far, thank you for your support!
There’s still so much for me to learn about creating a blog, but if I waited to learn everything, this would never happen. I had to start somewhere. And if you don’t mind coming along this journey with me while I navigate through this process, I promise I won’t let you down. So until my next post, I hope this new year brings you so much joy and prosperity. I can’t wait to share mine with you fueled by coffee, chaos, and cuss words.
P.S. Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss out on any of my posts!
